my 1910 marlin 1894 shoots cast .427 bullets well with light powder charge of 7.5 gr. tinstar. i ordered hornady xtp jacketed so i could load up a faster load it is supposed to be .430. i drove a 427 bullet down my bore today and it came out .420 bore. will the .430 jacketed be too big?

The numbers seem off at .420" ........what is the groove dia? I have a bag of 100 .427 Win jacketed that I'd sell. The .430 may give you some pressure .......will they even chamber? RE#7 is a great powder/24gr I'm shooting 220gr cast mine needs .430 bullets 1892 Win.

groove is .423 i thought the grooves looked shallow but they are sharp and seem to be effective on the bullet. my caliper said.426 bullet diameter before it went through. it was supposed to be .427 so i think my numbers are accurate enough. i have a miroku winchester 1873 that needs 429 or 430
