44-40 loads

5.6 grains of Winchester 231 behind 200gr cast RNFP from Rusty Woods

24gr of RE#7 in an original 92 cloverleafs 220grGC .430" at 50 yards.No big game yet but I've de-capped a few grouse.Google for why as it's great in the 38-40 as well not a lot of data on RE#7. Paco Kelly website if I recall?

I also recommend that you get a LEE Factory Crimp Die. I tried to seat and crimp all in one shot, and all I ever did was crush the cases.
The die is available from Higginsons in Ont. or Rusty Woods in B.C. for ~$20. Part # LEE 90854
 
Went to the smaller city today jest south oh me.
Did find IMR 4227.
Tewk the bite awf a brown one.
Yikes.

Had some eye-deer H110 should work.
Left that tawt on the counter.

I do have the crimp die.

Rem brass has the thickest necks,wouldn't work in my 92 with .429/.430 bullets unless I used Starline or Win. You will get crushed cases and this is why.I have Lyman dies with a .427 expander that I removed and installed an RCBS .430 Problem solved same as loading anything else now.Want to work out a ball load for chickens. Didn't need the LEE crimp die.
