41C - .410/45 Colt, 20"
Well call me stupid but I shot 45 Colt through my 410 alot.......it was even marked on the barrel to do so !
H&R or NEF had a Survivor ? model that was also advertised for 45 Colt and 410 shotshells too BTW !
Should also add I only shot Cast Bullets though........here's H & R's Part Number for the 410-45 Colt barrel...should anyone want one.
what is it with all the new guys- last week we had a guy wanting to shoot 45 colt out of a 410 and now we get some guy wanting to shoot 44-40 out of a 410= DO SOME RESEARCH ON BORE DIAMETERS BEFORE YOU LOSE SOMETHING ANATOMICAL- a 410 is 410 BORE or 41 CALIBER- the reason the judge et al can shoot 410 is that THEIR BORES ARE BIGGER- 44 mag, is .429. 45 colt is 452/454, same deal with 45 acp- you CAN'T FIT A BIGGER SLUG IN A SMALLER DIAMETER BARREL- that's the reason i NEVER SHOOT 45 COLT AND 44 mag together- the 45 colt WILL CHAMBER in the 44 mag- leading to disaster
T-STar, you are the first guy I have come across on this web sight that actually knows what a .410 is...It is .41 caliber, not a guage. Many Deringer pistols are chambered for .410 shotgun and .41 magnum. These guns were made to take the pressure. Shooting a 44-40 in a .410 is a wreck waiting to happen. You might as well take your 2-3/4" 12 guage out and fire 3" magnums in it. It can be done but how many times is the big question. I think the old rule of thumb is to use the ammo your gun was designed to take. This was taught in hunters safety when I took it with my sons. This is the stuff the anti-gun and anti-hunter types like to hear and publisize. STUPID Nimrod Hunter blows off his face when using wrong ammo. This proves that hunters are un-educated and too ignorant to own guns. Keep using the improper ammo and you will become a statistic on the side of gun control-confiscation...
