i understand the 44-40 used to come in a hi-vel loading , approaching 44 mag velocities. if i were fortunate enough to track down a mod 1892 rifle, which i understand is strong, the question is what case life is like in 44-40 at these stiffer loadings.
as an aside, the browning reproduction 1892s, are they set up to shoot .429 bullets, or the older .427s?
