Members that have followed my posts here over the years know that I have a fondness for classic 1970s and 1980s handguns but will realize that this is likely a very long shot. Does anyone have any insight to any .44 Auto Mag ammo in Canada? I’m guessing no but wanted to toss it out there in case there was an unexpected source.

Not sure about live ammo, but Starline makes new brass in .44 AutoMag. Worst case there's always cutting down .308 cases. I think the load data and dies (minus shell holder) are the same as .44 Mag.

Also, can you use .44 AutoMag in a revolver? And are there moon clips for it?

I've done the cut down 308 route. It's a pita. But it does work. Buy some of the starline brass and reload. Dies are still available from RCBS I believe. I've never seen a revolver modified to use 44 Automag brass, but that doesn't mean there isn't one out there. - dan

Good day Master-G,

Rusty Wood Trading CO. has Starline brass in stock - $40.25 for 50 / $73.75 for 100 and $336.25 for 500.

Great place for hard to find brass - only place that I could find new .445 Super Mag.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, see you are in Hali. I see/saw Norma Auto Mag ammo regularly at AB gunshows. There is still some old factory stuff out there.

Thanks! I got some original super-potent Norma 10mm with my Bren Ten—I don’t dare try it in it. I wonder how the Norma AMP ammo was, power- wise?

I have Chronoed Norma 200grn 10mm. It's nothing special, despite what is on the box it doesn't even reach 1100fps from a 5" barrel. A handloader can do better than that with a multitude of different powders.
