Anyone ever run a rifle (bolt specifically) in 44 Auto Mag? Just curious if someone tried it before.

A rimless .44 magnum might be an interesting idea if our gun laws weren't so restrictive towards small semi-automatic rifles, although a pump action might be interesting. But rather than a cut off .308, why not use it full length, or cut off .30/06, to provide a bit more powder capacity, and marry it to a 760? Even SC could appreciate that. It wouldn't do anything a .444 Marlin wouldn't do as well, but it would feed better from a box magazine, and the 760 is quicker and stronger than a Marlin, and slimmer than a bolt gun.

not a bolt ,a 1910 WSL rifle converted to 44AMP
How did that work for you?

SC is a hippie, we all know that. Why the Auto Mag, mainly because its a little more unique. I figure in a rifle you could juice it up quite a bit, but was also thinking pistol mag (ya ya, not gonna be easy to find) in a rifle. I thought of it in a 74* before, but a bolt seems easier.

the carbine based on the pistol was neat, assuming you didn't get your face too close to that bolt.
