44 mag bullets

So i bought some lead cast bullets for my Trapper 44, when I got home I noticed they were .427 bullets, I have had real great luck with .430 bullets. Should I just take them back to the store, is it like wasting my time with them? Thanks

.427 is the size used most in the 44-40

You need to slug your barrel to really find out

I think you need .431 / 432 or even 433
the under size bullet will probably lead the barrel real bad

I would take them back

this is 5 rounds at 25yds with .430 cast, first time out with it!

+1. I would expect poor performance and serious leading problems with bullets that far undersized.

BTW, my Redhawk loves the 245gr Keith SWC sized to .430", so you are not alone.
