44 mag -what are my options?

I don't think you should invest big $$ in a .44 Mag. It is not that much fun to shoot. It kicks like hell. I have a Ruger SBH and changed the grips to Hauge and that helped a lot. Of the guns that I own the .44 Mag sits in the vault the most. I think it is worth while to own one just don't spend a small fortune on one. Now I'll run and put my flame proof panties on!

No flaming necessary. You just need to learn to reload.

OP has owned other 44mag pistols previously.

Chances are that he does not mind recoil.

I reload. I just enjoy other guns so much that this one only comes out when I'm showing off. Bringing others to the range for a show and tell. Dirty Harry type stuff. I have 2000 rounds of lead for this unit but it shoots too fast for lead so I'm not sure what to do with them. Maybe load down to .44 Special with them. Haven't looked into that.
 
Yeah, it would NOT be my first .44 - not even my first S&W .44 - I never sould have sold my 29-3, but that 8.75" Bbl was just WAY TOO LOOOOONG.
