Hey all looking for real world feedback on the sw 629 stealth or competitor. Both are performance center versions. I like the look of both but leaning toward the stealth. Any pros or cons?
Id like to stay with the 44 mag not the 460 versions

I used to love smith and Wesson have two 629. When Murray Charlton was the repair center the service was excellent. I broke a trigger stud Murray repaired it and it was back within a week. Now Grech outdoors is the warranty center. I had another broken trigger stud on another 629 last July it is over a year and they have no idea when my revolver will be fixed.

6 to 1. They will both be nice shooters so get the one you like. Actions should be similarly tuned. I've shot the PC V-comp and it had a very nice action, but have to admit, i've also shot other standard 629 models that seem similar (but some that were definitely not as smooth or light). Only consideration might be the PVC coating on the Stealth. It could end up showing a little more wear if you are not careful or plan to holster etc.

Problems on these are not that common. Many competent smiths can do the work if you pay.
