Wondering what size pill you guys are reloading? With what powder? And,Why do you use that weight and what are the results you are enjoying?

I guess I should also mention I am enquiring about this as I will be sendingitdown range via a Ruger Super Redhawk Revolver.....

It could be over max but if he tested it right (using starting load first and working your way up) in his firearm (handgun or rifle) that load could be safe.

I just recently picked up some alliant 2400, are you using the hard cast bullets or are you using the plated?

25 of H110 is over max for a 240 grain jacketed bullet. However, only by 1 grain. Manuals do vary due to them reflecting the conditions on the day of the test. Mind you, H110 isn't a recommended powder for cast bullets. At least, not on Hodgdon's site. That just means it wasn't tested.
There's a guy on Reloader's Nest using it with a 320 grain cast bullet. Only 21.5 though. Another claiming 1431 FPS with a cast 300 using 22.5 too.

I am using 17.5 gr of 2400 behind a 260 grain gas checked cast RN bullet.. I shoot this in both my revolvers. Ruger red hawk 7" barrel and smith and Wesson 629 classic 5" barrel
