44 Magnum Classic Dirty Hairy

S&W quality on their revolvers is a real hit and miss these days. Looked at a new 629 the other day and the front sight was angled to the right due to not being cut flat.

The old ones were built with great care because of pride in making a great product.
I think the new ones are built on contract and not as an on going
project You would think quality control would be number one

QC of Smith & Wessons is hit and miss on the recent models.I think they just churn them out and then worry about sorting out the issues later.Ive read of numerous examples of issues with the newer smiths. That is the reason that the 3 Smiths I own(models 17/27/29)are all older manufacture(60s and 70s).Way better quality and finish and theres also not that ridiculous hole in the frame for the lock.

It is a pity S and W quality control has gone to the dogs. When they are built right they are really nice just hear so many stories about these quality control issues and some less than idea behaviour from there warranty guys.
