anyone else here love their 44 rifles? i have way more powerful guns, but i always find myself grabbing my 77/44. love that thing! hits way harder then you would imagine (looks sad on paper), carries and shoots like a charm. hopefully i can find some wild boar to use it on next! i need a 357 rifle next. right now, if i had to choose one rifle, i'd take this 44 for around here.

I feel the same way about my 77/44. Mine has been modified with a Skinner sight and a Volquartsen sear to lighten the trigger pull. Very handy rifle and easy to carry.

Mine is an 1892 Winchester SRC and I love that little rifle. Points like your finger. I might take it for deer this fall.

I have a Miroku/Winchester 1892 in .44 mag. Love it! 10+1 of .44 and the lever is just damn fun to work. I just got another one off the EE, and a Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited in .357 mag. Now I find out Ellwood Epps has the Miroku in .357 too. Damn it. :( Ah well

I'd love a .44, I wish Ruger still made a .44 semi-auto......
Barring that, I'd love to get a lever gun.

A friend of mine said I should look at the Marlin Model 1894 .44

God / bad idea?

Good idea...

I have Marlin 1894's, Win 94's and Ruger 77/44's... I love them all...

My favorite woods gun is a Marlin 1894S with a 16" barrel and a Williams peep. It shoots 240gr XTP's into a palm sized group at 150 yds.
