I am looking for some gun powder to replace W 231 that can work good on my DE , Is the primer press mark on the receiver normal ? I had heard that DE need max load to push gas operation. Thank you

23.6grn H110/Win296, CCI 250 primer, 240grn campro is my load for desert eagle. I've shot about 700-800 in mine, all 100% reliable cycling. Chrony is around 1400fps.

There's no load with Win231 that will cycle a deagle reliably. As far as I've tested, the only suitable powders for deagles are H110, Alliant2400 and Vectan Ba6.5.

Thanks everyone ,I want to post a picture of the heavy press mark leave on the receiver ,I want to know whether it was result of over loading , how can I attach the photo ?

I used Blue Dot in mine with lots of it. Lg. Fed. Primers, 240 JHP. Using it in my Smith 629 and it hurts.

OP: Don't use lil'gun or blue dot for a deagle. You can try, but it probably won't cycle correctly, at least not everytime. You can't just use any 44mag load made for revolvers or rifle in a deagle.

As said. 296/H110 are the powders.

These powders should be used with magnum primers and should not be down-loaded if you don't like the recoil. The loading manual will specify the Minimum load. Don't go below that load.

If you want to find a milder load that wills till cycle reliably, use 2400 and work up to find the 100% reliable load.

You need to have photo posted to another website, then link to it in your post. Go here:

https://postimages.org/

Upload the photo from your computer to them, then copy the direct link code they give you and paste it into your post, with
tags around it.

If you were trying to get a Desert Eagle to cycle with W231, it may well have seen severe overpressure.

You need to upload it to an image hosting site such as imgur and link to it.

Or you could just buy a paid membership to the site and upload directly from your computer plus a whole bunch of other perks that come with a paid membership.
Support the site, it costs less than a box of ammo.

I use 9gr of Red Dot using Campro 44 240gr FCP TC in my MK I Desert Eagle. Cycles perfectly as long as you don't limp wrist it, and shoots very mild for being 44mag. haven't choreographed it but it makes for a very enjoyable, very economical round. *this is a MAX load.

You need a lot of slow burning pistol powder to produce the volume of gas needed to operate the gas system.
As mentioned above; 296/H110 (same stuff) - Personally, I'd go for Vhit's N110 - DEs hate carbon buildup in the barrel gas port and piston and Vhit is so very clean.
