44 magnum that to be using in desert eagle XIX

I don't have a 44 DE but my 50AE loves win 296. I have put around 500 rounds through it and it loves it. It did however not like H4227. It was very very dirty leaving a lot of un burnt powder residue in the gun. My 629 likes 24 grains of win 296 with a 240 grain berry. I would start anywhere from 22-24 grains and you should be okay. I loaded some 44 mag for a friends 44DE with 24 grains and it ran like a top.

You need a lot of slow burning pistol powder to produce the volume of gas needed to operate the gas system.
As mentioned above; 296/H110 (same stuff) - Personally, I'd go for Vhit's N110 - DEs hate carbon buildup in the barrel gas port and piston and Vhit is so very clean.

is Vhit's N110 really that much better i mean.. i dont plan to eat off the gun. I just cant see it being that much better that it justifies twice the price

I use 9gr of Red Dot using Campro 44 240gr FCP TC in my MK I Desert Eagle. Cycles perfectly as long as you don't limp wrist it, and shoots very mild for being 44mag. haven't choreographed it but it makes for a very enjoyable, very economical round. *this is a MAX load.

I think I may have happened upon the title of a new movie - - - Dances with Bullets.

Not sure what your point is? I haven't crono'd it because this isn't a load I pulled out my backside, it was published in Alliant load data (2003) prior to them pulling load data for red dot for all pistol cartridges because they wanted to start selling their pistol powders. I use Red Dot for 32ACP, 380Auto, 9mm, Tokarev, 7.62 Nagant,45ACP and yes 44Mag, It was once a staple powder for pistol and for me still is.
