44 Magnum with HS-6

Hey, I have a fresh pound of HS-6 and was wondering if anyone here is loading 44 Magnum with HS-6? Anyone have any experience with it? Favorite loads? I'm looking to load some 240gr SWC bullets at around 1100 FPS. I looked around on different forums and hodgdon's website but hodgdon's data sometimes is not the best. Thanks

Start at 9.5 gr and work up. HS6 can be tricky to ignite in a large case. For 44 mag I would use a magnum primer for best accuracy.

I was asking the same question on the other thread, also for 44spl, and light load in 44mag. as per hodgdon data, 240gr plated bullet, 6.5-8gr(761-917 ft/s) for 44spl and 12-15gr(1144 - 1417 ft/s) for 44mag. So I think Ganderite gave us great advise.
9.5gr should give about 9xx ft/s. Hodgdon did give LP, not magnum in these range though. there is an article I found for this. in the end, as always, there is only one way to find out for sure.
