I am thinking of buying a Remington revolver, marked .44. The gun was likely born as a .44 Rem. cal, but the seller says a 44.40 cartridge will fit in the chamber. Does this mean the cyl. has been reamed out, or is this normal on a .44 Rem. gun? Thanks, Bill..
