Just wondering if any .44 rf ammo has been built in the last few years. Has Navy Arms ever had any? I have an old handgun on the way that should have some. Likely a person could build some, but would be nice to have a few factory loads. Thanks.

i dont think any was made but they is a few .44 rimfires

.44 henry rimfire is the most common from the looks of things you would need to have reloadable cases made from scratch as there is no cartridge case close enough to rework the bullet is a heel based .445" bullet case diam is .445" all the way and the rim diam is .515 or so

i would not shoot any old ammo out of it

oldiron there was a guy at the Maple Creek sk gun show last wk end that had a full box of winchester 66 or henry. I think he wanted $165.00 but not sure, if so I guess not that bad as I think individual ctgs sell for $40.00 to 50. There was different chamberings in those , I know there is a 44 short as well. Do you know what your pistol is. I might be able to get you his name. edit-- Dominion or later CIL loaded them -- with D headstamp, might be easier to find, I shot up a box or so quite a few years back out of my Uncles 66. BTW lot of misfires. Why did I do that-- stupid.

Thanks. I'm sure I'm looking for .44 Henry style. I would be interested in the box of .44 if still available. Just to have with the thing.

A couple issues back "Handloader" magazine showed how to make 44 calibre rim fire. It was a rather time intensive process.

Dixie Gun Works has an adapter for .44 Henry.
