Very few designs for a .44 wadcutter out there from the mold makers, must not be much demand, M.T. Chambers makes semi wadcutters in many weights and calibers, sizes and alloys but only wadcutters in .38(.357)
Can't say as I've ever seen nor heard of .44 cal WC's. However, you can load .44 Magnum cases to .44 Special velocities using cast bullets with no fuss. Whether or not a .44 is allowed in PPC is another thing.
I'd be looking at the 205 grain cast Cowboy Action loads on Alliant's site.
Lee used to make a mould for 44 wadcutters, I have one and though it is a bit rough they shoot fine,I couldn't find any data so from an e-mail Lee recommended using 44 Spl data as the bullets fill the 44 Mag case fairly well. IIRC it is a 200 gr bullet.
My local caster pours a very nice two cavity mold for the 44 wadd cutter. It is 180 grain wadd cutter with a flat top just like the 38's everybody likes.
Works great too. Perfect for PPC.
Don't know what the mould number is but it is not a new one....
