Disposal of a family heirloom. This gun looks to be in good shape, action os good and barrel and blueing are better than 90 percent. Is there anyone out there who collects these things ... Any help gratefully received.

If it is a Winchester rifle then it is most likely either a Model 1873 or Model 1892 sporting rifle. The model designation is most likely marked on the upper tang just below the hammer. You will need to post some photos on this thread or you can send them to me at 2bitrifles@gmail.com Depending on the condition and if there are any configuration alterations the rifle can be valued at a couple thousand dollars or more.
