.44 Winchester/ .44-40

I am looking at ( another) Smith and Wesson .44 However this one is .44 winchester. The gazzette shows winchester 44-40 as non antique. Is the .44 winchester the same cartridge or different? I am thinking it is the same. Someone tell me I am wrong please and thanks in advance!
