440 lb White Tail Deer

Here is a picture of a 461 lb deer shot in Maine in 1955. I was only able to find a photo of this deer in a book published in 1991. It claims to have been the largest buck shot in Maine at that time.

I am sure this photo was not altered.

This deer isn't carrying 25lbs of head gear either.

Road King

At least that looks like a deer. I believe the huge one lying down is altered. The body looks like something shot on a Safari in Africa, and the head added later. Real small head for such a huge body. The antlers look a little out of whack coming out of the head. The wrinkles on the neck would make you believe the head was being turned at 90 degrees, but for the most part, the neck is pretty straight. Looks shopped to me.

Fake, fake and not sure.

Original deer - fake. Hunt from original deer - make-me-sick fake. 1955 deer - puzzling. There were ways to fake photos in the darkroom before digital photography took over. Reminds me of these postcards with the giant fish and the apples that take up the entire truck box.

I have seen one other dear that size before, shot by one of my uncle it wed in 427 lbs. But this looks like the picture was fix some wow.

More BS from the world of Canned hunts.

Fake or real, the animals looks gross-like an overfed lap dog.

Just and aside but I notice they list their prices accordding to BC scores. Does B&C recognized pet shooting?
