The triple 4 used to be my mainstay moose gun. 300 grain Speer soft points over a healthy dose of H335 and CCI 250 mag primers. Rummy brass. Shot right around an inch. Shot a calf moose at 165 yards once and the bullet still penetrated from stem to stern. One of those rifles I should probably never have sold.
