Just a question. im in the process of scoping my 444 and when i mount the diamond back 1.75-5 and look in the scope i see my barrel all the way down to the front sight in my field of view. is this normal? is there a fix? never had this happen on a bolt gun

While it is desirable to mount the scope as close to the barrel as possible it should not block part of your view. This situation may affect your longer shots.

I have Weaver base and Millott Angle Loc low rings on my 3200 2-7X.

To correct this, try a higher ring, base or both. Shimming is not a good correction IMO.

This is what I carry the most at work. XS rail,Trijicon reflex,or a Leu.VX3-1.25x4. very fast.

How is your dink even still attached with a levergun like that?

The 1-4x Leupold seems to be popular with the scope-a-levergun crowd. Probably the way I'll end us going when my eyes no longer play well with irons.

I don't take my dink out when I shoot. My old eyes just can't use irons any more, the rifle is old and beat up but it does every thing I want need it to do.
