45-70/90/120

These old lever guns, are they like revolvers where a 357 magnum take a 38 special becaus it's just a shorter case? Are the 45-70, 90, 120 the same case family so a 70 can ha used in a 120?

That's what I was asking. So Once fired I can resize 45-70 cases in a 45-120 die?

I think I'll just stick to the 45-70

What other chamberings are similar, 44special, 44 mag and 444? Anything else in the big 45s?

I wonder if my 44 mares leg would load a 410 shot shell that would kick arse

We're back on the 45-70 discussion. I hear the early 45-70 cartridge was a lighter load, but some of the recent new ones are supposed to be the strongest... So which manufacturer which model 45-70 would be strongest?
