I have some left over imr 4198 and a couple boxes of 500 gr RN soft point woodlieghs. What I don't have is the right loading data. I have data for 500 gr lead alloy #2. Starting load 28 grs for 1354 fps at 10400 cup to max 32 grs for 1418 fps at 17200 cup for trapdoor guns and actual jacketed data with a starting load of 35 grs at 1440 fps at 27500 cup. My gun is rated for 28000 cup. What I'm looking for is a safe zone to play in. Starting jacketed loads are just below the rating of my gun. Could I start a grain or two less with imr 4198 safely?
