I am having great fun with my 1895 marlin shooting cast bullets from the bullet barn. I worked up a load for their 450 grain pills overtop of 43.5 grains of reloader 10, Gives me about 1700 FPS. Now I am looking at the rest of the sample pack including some 350 grain bullets. Looking at Real Guns handload data they have a load for the 405gr bullets with reloader 7 (40-42gr) and reloader 10 (44-47gr). With the 350 grain they only list a reloader 7 load of 42-47gr. I was wondering why this might be? I can't seem to find reloader 7 locally and have lots of reloader 10. Any thoughts? The goal is a milder recoiling load.
