45-70 bullets tumbling

just a follow up on my original post. I tried 44gr Varget with 500Gr cast bullet. more recoil but still tumbling.
paper patch with tracing paper and 41Gr Varget solved the problem. no tumbling and excellent accuracy

I have a Siamese Mauser that someone rebarrelled to 45/70, I shoot those lee 500 gr rn gas check oner 53 gr of 4579 ( it is sold as being the same as 3031) I use wheel weights and my bullets don't tumble. I lube the bullets and size them in a lee sizer then lube them again. I get close to 1900 fps. I shot one moose, very effective .
