.45-70 hard cast flat tip, where are you?

best bet is to buy an intro lee reloading kit and read a manual cover to cover a couple times. Then call Ben and build yourself some 420gr monsters at ~1600 or so, you will probably find that the gun is safer than you wish to take the recoil.
 
I do the paperwork and order from Beartooth Bullets and have them shipped to a pick up place the other side of the border . For my 2 - 45LC's . I order 300 grain hard cast , sized , lubed and gas checked . Great prices as i order 1,000 at a time and great bullets . $270.00 per thousand and shipping is dirt cheap to where i pick them up . No issue of barrel leading as they are hard and perfect bullets . I have no idea of who Ben is that the guys are talking of but 1,000 bullets are heavy and expensive to ship across Canada .

Ben Hunchak is a member on CGN do a seach for his name. He is located in Saskatchewan and casts top quality bullets for just about everything. He will custom taylor bulets for you in any lead hardness. by the way he does his hand casting one or two bullets at a time to ensure a quality bullet.
