(45-70) IMR 4198 Max Load for 425gr gas checked cast projectile

Greetings,

Curious if anyone has IMR 4198 load data (min/max) for 425gr cast lead projectiles for 45-70?

Mine is maxed out at 45 grs with a 405gr, or 50 grs of IMR 4198 with a 350 grs bullet. I haven't seen a load for a 425 yet, but doing rough math, your max should be 43 grs. with an expected Vo of around 1850 fps.

( not commenting on the minimum, 25 grs would be the minimum? It gets the slug still trough the barrel and is trap door safe...1100fps, you almost can see the bullet fly.)

Well ,thank Slamfire... I do, and copy. (never have enough reloading data on a 45/70...so many variations )

I find best accuracy around 35 gr IMR 4198 for 420 gr, and 32 gr IMR 4198 for 460 gr for my Marlin with Ballard rifling. Starline brass.
