45-70 in a 45-120?

My uncle had one in 120. Beautiful

Had to handload for it …….

and i had the loads going in same hole just as i wasnt gonna increase powder load anymore ladder testing it as recoil was getting serious ….. tried one more test up / powder increase and that was the load

Can’t remember now if it preferred the 390s or 525 gr pills. Might have written down still. Maybe not. He sold it and is disowned anyway

I shot 45-70 BP out of an original Sharps 45-100. Not as accurate as using 45-100 brass.
