45 70 recoil

pm me the price if the price isn't to bad I'll probably get them when I come thru in the next week or so also is one of your new Encores stainless steel and chambered in 243?

Factory ammo won't be bad. Handloads can run the gamut from subtle to fascinating. My 1885 is a fairly light rifle and it's downright intriguing with 420 gr cast handloads. I'm sure the same loads in my 1895CB would be less interesting, but skookum all the same given the lack of a recoil pad on the "CB".

I cast Lee RN 500 gr bullets for my 45/70, gas check and moly coat them and load them to 1860 fps. It is an 8 pound siamese mauser. Compared to the rest of my rifles it is by far the hardest hitting on both ends. I have not had anyone shoot a second shot when trying it.
