45-70 ring die for bulging cases

I'll leave it to you to work out how to use this info, but you can buy drill bushings (used for guiding a drill or reamer to a required location) for pretty cheap, through places like KBC Tools.

Custom sizes can be ordered, and they are pretty cheap, for the accuracy they offer. Delivery times may be longer for custom sizes. Discuss with vendor! Not too hard to mount in the gutted out remains of a leftover used Die Body!

How's this help? It's essentially the sizer you are looking for, and you can get them in any size you want to try, in hardened steel, or carbide.

Typical accuracies offered are around half a ten thousandth, plus or minus a very small amount.
 
Latest update from my trip to the range Thursday.....The polished case did show slight contact at "bulge" upon extraction although no difficulty at all was noticed on extracting ! Concensus is at this point that the chamber is not ringed .Possibly it is slightly over bored at rear but my "mentor" feels it is nothing to worry about as rechambering is the only option..."just resize and carry on" As I have misplaced my log book I do not know how many times this brass has been fired/neck sizing only....New discovery today[Saturday] after having washed the recently fired brass was that the un sized brass rechambered just fine .In looking at the brass I am having issues with which had been both washed and stainless steel pin washed is that the mouths are peened. I have not previously had any problem with peened cases with pin washing however the problem brass was the batch I had belled and I felt a bit too much and crimped with hand pressure only to avoid the "scratching sensation " chambering...After deburring the case mouth these case will almost fully chamber as opposed to hanging up 3/8 inch out of chamber. My brass is still undersized at 2.089/2.095.I have avoided trimming these case as I was waiting on a brass stretcher .I think my next step will be to do a new chamber cast with Cerrosafe and possibly a chamber pound cast. Deburr and trim my problem brass ,neck size and see where it all sits. At this point in time I have only full length resized for hunting.
 
Maybe I'm missing something but with a straight wall casing is there a disadvantage to full length sizing vs neck size. The neck is were it would split. And you are already work hardning that part. Would that not solve all the problem?⁹
 
As was pointed out to me earlier the reasoning behind neck sizing is to maintain maximum alignment with the chamber and bore in the hopes of improving accuracy. This is for target and match use only as opposed to hunting ammunition. The majority of target shooters I have spoken with choose to neck size only .I have not had any prior case issues due to work hardening as yet and have recently begun to anneal my cases after firing now as well.
