Well, I got out to practice with my new cross sticks at a 420 yard/385 meter turkey today. First 3 shots were high and left, but I adjusted and hit 10 out of the next 11. The 5 shots in the middle grouped under 3", with a cluster of 3 under an inch. I'm pretty happy considering the poor lighting today.
This is with my Pedersoli 45-70 rolling block and blackpowder.







 
Starline brass with CCI 200 primers. 67.5 gr of Swiss 1.5 fg. .02 overpower card, .06 fiber wad. Lyman 457125 bullet cast from 1-20 alloy weighing 522 grains. The powder is compressed to make the overall length 2.93" Also, I don't size my cases at all. After they're clean I just push the bullets in with my thumb.
