My local gunsmith said that he saw(TV) an American soldier carrying a 45-70
semi handgun with a group of soldiers that "Clean" houses for the bad guys.
45-70 is this true? Thats one hell of a side arm! I use that to shoot bear.
Oh well whatever works I guess. Very efficient I might add;)

No one in the world makes a 45-70 semi auto. Your local gunsmith is "special".
 
He may have been thinking about the DESERT STORM ERA MOVIE where one of the characters carried a .410 THUNDER 5 REVOLVER. Far leap from .410 revolver to 45-70 auto but?

Thanks for clearing that up....I'd never heard of this either thats why I ask the experts;) !
Maybe he was pulling my chain as he is like that a little.:D
 
Can't see the point of a 45-70 repeater :rolleyes:
One shot from one of my rifle loads :eek: 500gns@2000fps should scare any dangerious game away when it saw what happens when you touch it off:D
