wow, this stuff is much better for my 1911 norc than unique.

anybody else find this? what other powders are good in the 1911 ?

Hodgdon Clays works very good. Fills up the case, no double charging. 4.5gr under a 200gr lead SWC works good for me!

My favorite range load for my 1911s? 5.0grs of Bullseye with my own 230gr cast RN bullet. Accurate and uber reliable all day long & cost effective to shoot! Now if I could only stop losing brass!

I like bullseye also but recently my shop was out so I tried some 700x.
5.4grn 700x with 200grn lswc bullet (this is a max load) is very accurate out of my Norc 1911a1.

Yeah, I'm wanna give Bullseye a go after I run out of
Titegroup.
How does Bullseye compare to TG, anyone ever loaded both ?
(and no, I don't mean at the same time. . .)

I got a great deal on two 8 pound kegs of Bullseye a few years so I use it for all but magnum handgun loads. I only have about half of one left now but it works great for me with target loads in 25 ACP, .380, 9mm, 40S&W, 38 Spl and 45 ACP.

You guys are a bunch of old farts using that ancient powder. Switch to some of the modern powders. There has been a lot of progress since the introduction of Bullseye powder. And to help you out I will buy your old cans of Bullseye, at a discount of course. ;)
