Been away from reloading for many years. Just getting back in the game. Completely overhauled my Dillon RL550 this winter, which for all intensive purposes is now upgraded to a RL550C. Now ready to load 'em up. Just finished sorting about 700 45 ACP cases by head-stamp. Next step is to experiment with different powders for 200 gr LSWC and 230 gr FMJ. Looking for accuracy for 200 gr lswc and major pf for 230 fmj. I noticed a lot of the brass I have picked up has indentations on the cases which I believe were made by the extractor on various guns. Is it safe to reload these?

As always thanks for your responses.

In all probability there would be no problem using the cases. Then again, you are closer to them and can see them.
How is the extractor denting the cases?

Hard to tell without a pic but mr first guess would be cases hitting the ejection port on extraction which can dent them. If it's the case body which is dented that's probably the cause. If it's the rim that's dented that is a different story.

I load the 200 gr SWC for accuracy. 4.3 gr of TiteGroup has worked best in most of my 45s.

A dent won't matter. Sizing will make sure it chambers, and firing will iron it out.

If case is hitting frame on the way out, the extractor or ejector may need tuning.
