Does anyone know of a reasonable priced mail order supplier of bullets (for .45 ACP - cast is fine) in Canada? If I buy locally here - by the time I am finished - it would be cheaper to buy new.
Thanks

here is the shocker... 45 caliber bullets are heavy... 7000/grains to a pound 230 grain bullets make 30 bullets to a pound figure about $1 a pound for shipping... and that adds 3 cents to each bullet for shipping...

I guess a good answer would tell you about a dozen different places... and a good question would be what weight, what profile... for what purpose...

The problem is that good bullets cost money... I don't know what kind of price you are looking for... But look at CanadianBDX.com ...

Well - that post was a LOT of help.
Any "useful" answers out there?
Ya, sarcasm will get you lots of results. Maybe you coud be a little more vague in your post as to what size(wt) you are seeking etc. Oh wait, folks on this forum are mind readers and know exactly what YOU are looking for...:D
Some dealers only carry limited selection so if you can advise what specifically you are looking for, maybe you will get more definate responses..
I'm just sayin'....
Cheers

My reply was not sarcastic - I did not see how the information on the weight of bullets and the shipping costs answered my questions in any way - I know freight is expensive - I know lead is heavy. Making a post just for the sake of making it is of no use to anyone.
As for specifics on the bullets I am looking for - I will try just about anything, if the price is right - and work up my load from there. The goal here is economy, as I shoot an average of 2000 rnds per month (as weather permits).
Just because I am labeled "newbie" does not mean that I am in-experienced. I have been shooting longer than some members of this forum have been alive.
I apologize to Bear.23 if I seemed short with him, it had been the end of a long day.
Your post on the other hand serves no use other than to be truly sarcastic.

I wasn't really trying to be snarky ... Your original post hand didn't provide enough information to give you answers of value..

You seemed to complaining about cost.. but didn't say what you were looking for or what you were being charged..

You find my post sarcastic:eek:? Gee, thats a shame. Sorry to offend you but you original post was vague. If you are seeking any weight of bullet in that caliber, it opens up a lot of options for you. Seeing as you have been in the shooting sports for such a long time, I would expect you to have checked the obvious sources such as those sponsor dealers on this board as well as the obvious ones previously mentioned. WSL has limited supply of bullets of any kind, but folks like Wolf and Canadian BDX have a good supply remaining. Looking for cast? Bullet Barn is xlnt but of course you already know that..
Good luck in your search...Oh , that wasnt meant to be sarcastic either so relax...

I do apologize if I was short with you Bear.23 - There was no ill will intended - I was just having one of those days. :(
