Any ideas of where to get one in Canada? I heard you could open up a AR10 sized one to fit. It's for a .45 Enfield conversion. Any thoughts?

Totally pointless. All the powder will be completely consumed long before the bullet exits the muzzle and thus there will never be any flash to suppress.

Not so sure about that... I fired an Uzi carbine in .45ACP with a 16.5" barrel and there was a noticeable flash. Just sayin.....

I'm planning on working up some hotter loads for my carbine. It's for looks too. Any thoughts on a thread pattern to use?

Standard 1/2 x 28 like on the .223 barels may very well be too small when machined to fit. Best bet is a similar FH designed for .30 cal rifles though I am not sure of the thread pitch.

The good thing is that it sounds like it will be a custom install so whatever you choose will be machined to the threads cut onto your barrel. That leaves you with a lot of selection with regards to styles etc you may want to use.

Regards,

Some 'common' sizes for .45 barrel attachments are M16x1.0RH, M16*1.0LH, 11/16"-??, .578"-28, .575"-40, 9/16"-24, 5/8"-24

More threads per inch is stronger, and they aren't as deep meaning less metal removal and thus thicker wall.
