45 ACP dies to load .455?

The specs look fine to me and the length is about right so...

I know a few folks that use cut down 45 colt dies to load their 455's

Does anyone use 45 ACP or 45 Auto Rim dies to load 455 brass?

I used to use a .45ACP die with no issues. I eventually found a cut down 45 colt die die for sale cheap but had no problems with the 45 ACP die to reload .455 -aside from readjusting when I wanted to go back to reloading 45 ACP.

In the past ive handloaded my 455 stuff. I only ever shot a few here and there. I guess its time to get some dies going.

will a .45 acp die also work for .450 i just bought a Belgian bulldog in 450adams
(still waiting for it to arrive)

Lee makes a carbide .455 webley die and it comes complete with shellholder and load data.
You can use this to load .45 acp as well with the proper shell holder.

The .455" has a dia of .480 vs .476 for the 45 ACP. Using the 45 dies will excessively size the .455 brass. I advise you to use the .455 dies.

Ya Really why buy the Wrong dies to start with!
If you happen to have 45 ACP dies then fine in a pinch i could see it maby.

BUT Lee Carbide Dies in 455 are Cheep and i use mine to Load 450 /455 / 45 Schofield and 45 Colt
If you want to load 45 ACP then buy 45 ACP dies.

Wholesale sports Carrys them Lee Carbide Dies in 455 there like $35 a great deal for what they do.

Yeah, I've got a set... the Lee dies are a great deal especially for low volume reloading.

I have used Lee dies in a Dillon RL450 for years. They work well at moderate volume as well.
