ok so i finally p/u my glock mag fed .45 jr today, try it out.... and its a jam -o -matic, i imagine its a mag prob cause i can barely get 9 rnds in,
the rounds seem to be jamming in a nose up attitude, with some being peirced thru the side of the casing....
anyone run into this?...yes i tried searching..:p

if it feeds first round when you #### it just fine, i would try changing the weight of the bolt buffer (heavier)

trying different mags also is a good spot to start

Are they still selling the 45 jr?

jr company are a bunch of idiots. They should stop shipping the 45 until they fixed the issues.

If you can send it back.

Yeah - I've been working on mine for quite a while now....

This thread has the details of me trying to get mine working... Mine will shoot sort of ok with slightly less hot reloads (Wolf seems ok 95/100), but any factory ammo I get no more than 3 shots in a row. I have 7 different mags... Still working on it!

I've had mine back for servicing, came back without a perceptible difference in functionality.

My unit cycles fine on the stock mag ( American eagle and some old CheK stuff) .. I bought two current gen glock mags and I also bought two mag springs from JR C boys .. They do not cycle as well unless I pull down on the mag after insesion ..

jR C web page has indicated a mag stop is not part of the design ( on purpose) ??? ( or there is a post online from a female designer who was involved in the project ).

I bought some Wolf TMJ from SFRC last week (just arrived ) If I get out this week I will advise outcome .. I can confirm I have an original buffer ( stainless steel ) no mods ... It has about a total of 250 rounds through it so it is not even teething yet ! I stripped it and cleaned it this week prior to my range visit ..

My problem with the unit was/is it's not cocking the hammer .. After the cleaning still had one FTF do to the round being chambered but the rille not being cocked , prior to the cleaning this was happening frequently on the prior visit to the range .. Previous range visits and 200 rounds no problems ..

Will see what the reloaded stuff does ...

Yours is a .45? How. Long have you owned it? I ask because as another .45 JRC owner those failure rates sound like something I'adpiring to. :) in all seriousness, that waaaaay better than mine is doing....

I bought my rig in August from Wolverine ... I purchased the extra mags from them ..

I confirm it is a .45

I should of asked you if your charging handle is recessed into the bolt and tight .. That scenario you describe can appear with a loose charging handle .. The JR has a very short rail for the bolt to slide on , and when it is blown back it relies on the charging handle to keep it on track once the charging handle passes the area where it can be recessed and locked open . The charging handle must also sit into the bolt 1mm or so in a small depression on the side of the bolt .. Yet it can be tightened just out of alingement., so it sits on top of the bolt as opposed to seated in the depression... This could also the bolt sections to rotate slightly ..

How many total rounds through your unit so far .. Did your unit come with the slip2000 sample .. I understand they toss it in when they get the samples from the manufacturer so maybe some units do not have it in the box. I never saw it on the u-tube unboxing vid so I had obtained some anyway ( not cheap ) outside of my local area. When my box arrived it had the sample. In the period since Qctober when my unit saw it's first range time it was stripped and cleaned once , but I did give it a strip down and cleaning out of the box and I used the recommended slip2000 as the lube ...

My unit ( bit of a dislike ) did not have the customary three slot vents on the forend one sees in all the pics ( including JRC's site) but it arrived with a forend that quarter sized holes all the way back. The rep at JRC said they made the change for cooling , but I presume they switched suppliers. I was sold on the slots , had to buy an extra long shroud (16.5"). I mention this only as an indicator to manufacturing time . The rep I called at JRC (re the forend change ) did not say go pound sand re my request for a sloted forend, he just said they did not have them anymore and I could not get the advertised look. So he told me to go pound sand in a polite way

Spry about two posts .. But at night I use Ipad and this form is not iPad friendly .. If you go up to edit , and what you add or fix makes the last words scroll below the quick reply window , you just can't get back there to finish ..

My performance teeters on the edge of satisfaction .. I can live with a few FTF until the mags get broken in and the unit gets 500 or 600 shots put threw it .. Unlike those who seek perfection out of the box, I like to tinker .. All I have read online suggests that these problems can be solved with time, and if I wanted a unit to have no problems out of the box, a $ 3000.00 AR is almost worry free .. But I own a Glock so I wanted something to force me to rotate ammo .. I think ATT's are bull#### so the glock has never been fired .. But that may change ..

You will also see from my posts I bought a MK-22 (ISSC) in October .. But alas it has worked flawlessly, so the tinkering I thought I would have with that has been pushed on to the JRC

I will take delivery of a 10/22 takedown this coming Tuesday so maybe it will have some 10/22 disease and the JRC will suddenly stop giving me the odd FTF .. I have a ton of saved posts on the JRC so in there is an answer to my non cocking FTF or I will call the company rep to see what they are suggesting I can do to fine tune ...

Being a plinker with the son and grandkids my expectations may be less , but safety is a big issue and the bolt tearing through the case is serious to me .. Happened twice ( well just dented ) .. Both times the charging handle was loose .. It is now tightened with blue locktite ......

PM me anytime for an update on my saga ... R
