45 ACP load check (titegroup)

I have a titegroup 45acp load that is working well for me:
230gr CamPro plated RN
4.5 gr Titegroup
1.200 OAL.

I'm starting a new load with 200gr cast RN (unplated). Between my Lyman manual, Hodgdons site, and general internet research, it appears the 5.0gr of Titegroup is a good starting point.

For you Titegroup loaders out there, I would appreciate your feedback.

I have had excellent results with Titegroup, but consider 5.0 a pretty hot load. In most of my 45's, the best load with TG and the 200 cast is 4.3 gr.

the test I ran in each pistol was 4.0 to 5.2 in 0.3g. increments.

So I am quibbling with your reference to 5.0 as a "Starting point".

I've reloaded lots of 200 grain cast RNFPs with 5.1 grains of Titegroup. This is right in the middle of Hodgdon's published charge range.

I use 4.7 grains of titegroup for 230gr plated rn and 4.7gr with 200 lead swc. Works for me.

I use 4.8gn of titegroup with 230gn berry's RN. Just under book COL.

Before switching to Win231, I used 4.4grains of titegroup behind 230grain plated round nose. Shot up our first chrony before I got a velocity reading on it.
