.45 acp Mauser conversion

People have reported difficulties in getting these barrel kits from Rhineland and the consensus seems to be that they are not reputable to deal with.

The 'special' conversion is the De Lisle Commando Carbine and in Canada the average firearms owner cannot own a suppressed firearm. The De Lisle looks something like this.

I recall seeing someone having made that cute little blaster on the boards before... was that you, Mudpuppy?

Damn I'm jealous of that thing, I'd love to own a look-alike, not silenced or anything... Just be fun to have an Enfield with a fart-can :D

Yes I make them, I wish I could make it fart instead of going bang!

Bubba K98's and Enfields?!?!?!?!?!? What's Bubba gonna screw up next? The 1866 Winchester converted to .223?
I don't think what I am doing is bubba work at all. I am using Enfields that have been sporterised beyond restoration and using them to build a replica of a rare firearm that we will never have a chance to own otherwise.

What would you rather have in your safe a chopped up "hunting" Enfield or a De Lisle replica?
