I really like the idea having multiple firearms in the same caliber. I have a 1911 and I am waiting awaiting the transfer of a recently (as in today) purchase of a S&W 45 ACP caliber revolver. I'd really like a rifle in the same caliber. Any recommendations? Im open to all types.

No it was the 9mm because they put 40 cal parts in it by mistake the 45 is diffren't and they can't do that. It was a minor problem were they just replaced the bolt.

Now you got the Kriss under review by the RCMP because of a machine gun version (it came first) They're blocking importation of the rifles until they figure out if it's a prohib or not so they might or might not change the class on it. (only parlment is supposed to be able to do that)

You have the Berreta CX4 Storm you can get a longer barrel made to make it non restricted

You have the HK USC as mentioned above.

You have the Hipoint carbine as well.

That's about it the tommy gun (semi auto version) is prohibited dam stupid laws I want one...

Thureon Defence 44 is nice, that's what I have now. Simple blowback as most pistol caliber carbines are. Takes down like an AR for easy, tool free cleaning. Accepts standard AR trigger group, comercial stocks and pistol grips. It feels solid and well built in your hands, it feels like quality. I did break a firing pin recently but the manufacturer was happy to not only send me a free replacement, they also sent spares. I've had other pistol carbines and they were all overpriced novelty items, the Kriss is the exception at twice the price. Targets below shot with the bushnell 1x red dot shown.

I have a HiPoint in both 9mm and 40S&W. They are cheap and work perfectly. I used the 40 in a CQB match and it ran just fine. No experience with the 45ACP version, but at around $400 new and $300 used, you can't go far wrong.

Here are 25 yd targets shot with both calibers.

Just looked through the 'JR Carbine ####' thread and some folks here have done some wicked good work.

I think I am sold.

Ive owned a JR, Thureon and a Kriss. The JR is nice, but definitly not as nice as the Thureon. They both do the same thing so you just have to decide how much of a quality/cost tradeoff you can accept. The Kriss is on another level. Its a true military firearm that functions, in every way, as youd expect a miltary firearm to function. No surprises, just perfect operation.

For the record, the Kriss VECTOR is NOT under reclassification review. That report was a mistake. The new Kriss pistol is whats under review.

The ONLY thing I dont like about my Thureon for real world use is the lack of a last shot bolt hold open combined with how the bolt lock functions. The JR is better in that respect (though only marginally) and still doesnt have a LSHO. The Kriss does... which is why I sold my Thureon in .45 and got a kriss... but im keeping my Thureon in 9mm...

Heres what you can do with a Thureon if you wanted to:

Since then ive used an MP5 mag coupler to connect 2 of the 30 round stick mags. Works awesome.
