can't go through all posts cuz I am using my cell. So, if I am repeating some other posts you'll forgive, right?
45 ACP is beautiful round to reload and shoot. Better so if your using 1911-framed pistol. Buy good quality cast bullets, 175g SWC worked best for me. Combined with Unique postol powder it was most consistent loading. Accurise your gun (compress slide and lap it, replace barrel bushing and chain link, trigger - the usual stuff) and I guarantee groups will be as small as 22 target pistol's. For all arguments against reloading I'd say it is well worth it. 45 ACP brass lasts forever if you don't push it. Again, don't cheap out on bullets, some cheaper casters use way too soft alloy, may quickly spoil all the fun. Bullet Barn makes good stuff by the way, don't want to mention bad ones.
Factory ammo will never match accuracy of your home brew. And if you ever to accurise your gun you wouldn't want to beat the snot out of it with factory loads involving 230gr bullets.
