Hey guys!

I recently got this Kriss Vector with 100 rounds of 45 ACP made by Winchester, yes I ran out in about 2 hours when I went to the range. Anybody know of any good websites where I can buy ammo in large quantity to both save money and not have to drive all the way down somewhere that MIGHT sell 45 Winchester?

Many thanks,

AL

Canada Ammo, or SFRC, or Frontier, or Wolverine.

Thanks, would there be a difference in performance depending on which brand I use. I mean Winchester worked with no trouble I didn't experience any sort of malfunction, but as soon as the range officer brought some of his rounds to try out my Vector one came out defective.

I'm unfamiliar with the vector, what type of malfunctions were you having? I've only shot Winchester 230gr thru my 1911, and my own reloads. Never really had a problem.

Oh no malfunctions there was no problems at all, that's why I was wondering, would it matter if I stick with Winchester ammo or like StraTz said about Norinco ammo I can use Norinco and still have the same performance with my firearm as using a Winchester 45.

WTF? Did you take a nap during this time? 100 rounds is a quick 10 minutes, 15 tops.
You gotta work on your mag reloading skills :p

(E)

Give the new guy a break. I had only 1 mag lol. Plus the range slot next to me had this amazing magnum so I was spending some time checking that out. I also rented out a Glock 21 that day with their ammo. So yea I was jumping around a little. But that's why I need more ammo so I can spend more time blasting :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: out.

The Norinco 45ACP that CANAM has is pretty much the cheapest you are going to get. Shoots fine out of my 1911, no experience with it in the Vector tho

+1 on CanadaAmmo. Really great price and free shipping too. It's not the cleanest ammo. The shell casings are a little grimy and oxidized but that can be wiped off pretty easily and it shoots just fine.

That's not too bad. Time to buy a crate of norinco.

OK I heard that alot lately. So Norinco is the ideal brand of ammo that you would buy right? You can get large quantities for cheap compared to Winchester. But my question is does it work or does do you just heard a click on half of the rounds that you would buy?
I can tell you my first box into the Winchester: 100/100 no dead rounds, no problem. Dont know about Norinco, I would really appreciate some feedback on that :D

For my next ammo purchase I'm going to pick up a case.

I saw at a local store for $310/1000 so cheaper yes.

What I've read is that it is dirty but reliable and the brass is reloadable(bit of value in that), which is why I'll buy a crate.

I've run s&b, blaser, American eagle, and hornady from my 1911 and have never had any rounds fail on me. 100rnds is really not a large enough sample to know the worth of any one brand.

Im not far from you so know what your going through. Qty ammo in the GTA is not on every corner and $40 per 100 adds up fast. BTW, as another poster stated you will get up $100 per visit once you have 6 or 7 mags and are shooting it exclusively. Ive used the Norc 45's, and PMC that I got for $17/50 (end of day take it all deal) at the Orangeville gun shows. Shop the vendors in the banners. They all have their +/- but generally perform as advertised. Bullets are not cheap to ship so buy bulk if you can. Best recommendation is to learn to reload. 45 is really easy to reload, lee 1000 press is under $300 to get going and you can customize the loads to your style.

I agree. I am gonna need to buy in bulk that was my plan in the first place. I guess Norc sells in large quantities I saw Canada Ammo selling 500 of them and a case and something else I don't remember. About reloading I need to get more glock mags I only have one lol. I am new to this sport but so far I am loving every second of it. But thanks for the suggestion.
At this point the ammo I am thinking to go with is Norc @ Canada Ammo 500 or 1000 rounds. And I need to get 2 or 3 more glock 21 mags.
