45 acp

it usually takes around 2-3 hundred rounds for my gun to get as dirty as 09outlander's pics. i don't complain, its cheap and reliable, just runs a lil hot. plus i use frog lube, a quick wipe down after the range and it looks clean again :p

Froglube is great isn't it, makes cleanup much quicker, even on a dirty gun, even my Tokarev likes it with shooting corrosive.

I don't use froglube but the clean up really isn't all that bad with this stuff. it's just sooty, was shooting 200ish rounds at a time and it looked like I just came back from a shootout in a coal mine. Still wiped off just fine.

Holy that's dirty. After 80? Oh well. For the price I can afford to clean it more often. All my guns get cleaned after each range trip anyway

I fired 100 round of this ammo so far with my S&W 1911 45, I don't think it's much dirtier then American Eagle, might be a bit hotter but that's about it. Just ordered 2 more crates of the stuff. My pistol wipes clean easy, because I have it swimming in oil when I use it.

^Reloading is ~$180 per 1000 using Berry bullets. Plated bullets works great for the 45ACP slow speed. Better deal buying in bulk. Brass last forever thanks to low pressure. 45s RNs are easy and fast to reload.

Alot of people don't realize how Dirty the Norinco ammo is.
It is Filthy. I don't use any of it.

People reload with cheap crap dirty powder so they are used to clouds of smoke and caked on, crusty Black Tar in their guns.

If you keep your gun well lubricated nothing will get caked on, as you say. My S&W 1911 45acp wipes clean with little effort after using the Norinco ammo. Also, I don't find it any dirtier vs the American Eagle that I was using up to now. Having said that, even if it was a little dirtier it would be well worth it to me, knowing that each time I pull the trigger I can save as much as 20 cents, and when I sell the once fired brass, the savings will be even higher.
