so i have a ruger p345, when i was going to check out my cases before priming them i have noticed that there is a "hit mark" on the tapered part of the casing towards the headstamp of the casing, all of the casings have it some have 2 i have only loaded these 2 or 3 times and i have lost a few casings at the range as usual. the mark looks like it could be from the lever at the top of the handgun that lets you know if there is a loaded round in the camber. My question is do you think it would be ok to reload these casing again. I have tried to take pics but none are coming out good enough to see the actual mark.

I have one that does that to every casing, think it is from hitting the slide upon ejection. Yes they are ok to reload, if they are fired from anothe pistol the dent will be gone.

+1. Some guns are hard on brass. OP should see what my Garand does to brass if he thinks this is bad.

As for loading it again, should be no problem unless there are cracks forming somewhere.
