.45 Cal bullets

I have a quantity of Frontier Cast 300-grain .454 Casull bullets (.452” dia.) on hand that I would like to shoot out of my Marlin 1894 .45 Colt rifle. Can this be done safely? I can’t find any specific load data. Does anyone have a load they would recommend or know where I should look? Thanks for your help.

"...can't find any specific load data..." Hi. You won't. You load for the bullet weight, not who made it or the cartridge somebody said they were for. The important part is to use cast bullet data. However, a 300 grain cast bullet won't hurt your rifle.
There's one unverified 300 grain cast rifle load on Reloader's Nest. And one 310 grain cast bullet the guy worked up for a Marlin 1894.

Just contact Frontier directly (email). I did it for the 340gr bullets for my 454 Casull. It took them a couple of days, but they responded and gave me exactly the info I was asking for. Be sure to tell them all the info you have, including the firearm you plan on using and the powder you will use. Your good to go.

I've been following this thread as well. Vicious.. is there any chance you could post the info here as the only access I have to Hodgdon is their online site and they don't give any load data for 45 Colt rifle or lead bullets under handgun loads? And edition #26 was published in 1992 and I don't have access to that either.

I emailed them on Sunday (March 20th). I received the reply from them on Wednesday morning (March 23rd). So give them a few days.
