.45 GAP or .45 ACP Flat nose?

I'm wondering if those are interchangable? Are they the same thing?

Not much interchangability there.

Both caes headspace on the front of the brass. Considering the difference in the length of the cartridge case, they are not interchangeable.

There is a possibility that the smaller GAP cartridge might get held in place by the extractor and fire that that is not safe.

The only way .45 GAP could interchange with .45 ACP is in a revolver that uses moon clips.
