I measured my brass , which has been fired 3 or 4 times. It's measuring from 1.265-1.270-1.275. About 50 cases for each measurement . Can I use the the short brass ? Or should I toss it? Edited : this was before resizing, after resizing the short brass grew to 1.275 and the long brass grew to 1.280..so all is good, just was curious as to why there's such a diff in the brass. And I didn't think that the short brass would grow that much.

1.73" to 1.83" is SAAMI spec.

If it were me, I'd use it. You crimp to the cannelure, so the extra 0.008" or so that the projectile would be sitting deeper into the case won't really increase pressure any amount that I'd need to worry about.

I'm sure there's more variance to the seating depth of my .357 magnum and full power 10mm hand loads than 0.008".....

the only issue with long and short pistol brass is uneven crimping. if it's just for plinking keep it, otherwise trim them all to the shorter length and your back in business.
